LECTURE:
Dr. Francesc Abella graduated in 2005 with a degree in dentistry from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona), Spain. Between 2005 and 2014, he completed his master’s and PhD studies in endodontics at UIC in Spain. He is currently the director of the European Master’s Degree in Endodontics (UIC, Barcelona).
Dr. Abella has delivered numerous lectures, courses, and hands-on workshops around the world, and he also runs a private practice limited to endodontics and restorative dentistry in Barcelona. In the field of clinical endodontics, he is particularly interested in cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in endodontics, micro–computed tomography, dental anatomy, dental traumatology, periapical pathology, adhesive restorations, and the reconstruction of endodontically treated teeth.
In addition to his private practice, he lectures on endodontics in Spain and other countries, and he is involved in endodontic research within the postgraduate endodontics program at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Spain. He is the author of several peer-reviewed journal articles. He is part of the expert panel appointed by the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) on the use of CBCT. Dr. Abella is also an active member of the Spanish Association of Endodontics (AEDE) and currently serves as the secretary of the Spanish Society of Conservative and Aesthetic Dentistry.
