Endodontic’s Enthusiasts Meeting on 2nd – 5th of December.
The 12th, Endodontic’s Enthusiasts Meeting, was held in comfortable, conveniently located Conference Centre in Jachranka near Warsaw. This resort provides the perfect conditions both for training and rest.
Topics of this year’s edition off symposium has focused on modern methods and techniques of root canal treatment, complications after endodontic treatment and the latest advances in microsurgery. Varied scientific program has surely satisfied the Participants and accompanying social events have made the stay in Jachranka even more attractive.
Among the lecturers were, only to mention few, Prof. Marga Ree, Samuel Kratchman, Jorge Vera, and Brian Sarter – cardiologist..

Prof. Elisabetta Cotti
She graduated dentistry in 1985. at the University of Cagliari, Italy. In 1990 she got a specialization in endodontics at Loma Linda University in USA, where she was working as a professor, and in 1991 she got a title Master of Science In Endodontics. In 1991-1994 she was a lecturer at the Department of Conservative Dentistry, University of Cagliari. Since 1999. she was a researcher at the University of Cagliari. Since 2000 she was a Professor at the Department of Conservative Dentistry, University of Cagliari. Professor Cotti is a lecturer of international renown. She is an author of numerous American, Italian and international scientific publications.
Dr Richard Kahan
1984 - Qualified from the Royal London Hospital. 1993 - gained a Masters Degree in Endodontics with Distinction at the Eastman Dental Institute. Specialist Endodontic Private Practice in London's exclusive Harley Street. Director of Endodontic Courses and Senior Clinical Lecturer at Eastman CPD, University College London. Lectured internationally, written research papers and academic referee for a number of prestigious dental journals. Currently researching CBCT settings, dosimetry and establishing best practice for visualising endodontic pathology.
Prof. Sam Kratchman
Prof. Sam Kratchman was born and raised in New York. He received a B.S. in Biology and a D.M.D. both from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts. Sam then entered the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a certificate of endodontics, and currently serves as an Associate Professor of Endodontics and the Assistant Director of Graduate Endodontics, in charge of the microsurgical portion of the program. Prof. Kratchman has authored several articles and chapters on endodontics and intentional replantation for the Microsurgery in Endodontics textbook, and the Dental Clinics of North America. He also developed a patented instrument called the S Kondenser for the obturation of root canals. Both Main Line Today and Doctor of Dentistry magazines honored Dr Kratchman as the cover story for their "Best of " issues. Prof. Kratchman lectures on several topics of endodontics throughout the United States, Europe, Scandinavia, South America, and Asia. He also maintains two private practices, limited to endodontics, in Exton and West Chester Pennsylvania.
Tech. dent. Robert Michalik
He graduated from the Department of Dental Technics in 1987. After working for two years in the laboratory of the Medical Academy in Warsaw He Has opened his own laboratory. He was the first person in Poland to work in the cad-cam system.
Tech. dent. Piotr Nagadowski
The owner of the prosthetics laboratory Natrodent based in the Medical University in Łódź. A representative and medical advisor of the AmmanGirrbach and Elephant Dental. The lecturer of many specialist workshops held in Poland and abroad on articulation, joint registry, splint preparation, total and partial prosthesis.
mgr Barbara Podsadna
Depatment of Pharmacy In Medical Academy in Poznań. MA in pharmacy, specialization in medical microbiology. The Director of the Microbiology Laboratory In a Health Care Institution in Nowy Tomysl. The Director of Pharmaceutical Wholesale Aesculap Chifa Ltd. ( B.Braun) in Nowy Tomyśl. Since 2003 a scientific consultant in Medilab Ltd.
Prof. Marga Ree
Marga Ree, from the Netherlands. Marga Ree obtained her degree in dentistry from the University of Amsterdam in 1979. For the next five years she was a part-time staff member of the department of Cardiology Endodontology Pedodontology, as well as being a clinical instructor in the central dental clinic of the University of Amsterdam. In 2001, She completed a postgraduate training programme in endodontics with a Master of Science degree. Since that time she has lectured widely and taught hands-on courses throughout the Netherlands and abroad. She is the primary author of several articles published in National and International journals and has contributed to several books on endodontics and general dentistry. Since 1980 she has had a private practice in Purmerend, which for the past nine years has been dedicated to endodontics.
Dr Brian H. Sarter
Dr. Sarter has authored or co-authored over 30 papers in the field of Electrophysiology which have been published in major Cardiology Journals. He is a member of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology, the American Medical Association, and the Pennsylvania and Delaware Medical Societies. In addition, he is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology.
Dr n. med. Jorge Vera
Dr. Jorge Vera received his DDS degree in 1989 from National Autonomous University of Mexico (Spanish: Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México). In 1993 he received a Certificate in Endodontics from TUFTS University. He is the chairman of the Mexican Association of Endodontists, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board Member for the Journal of Endodontics.He has delivered more than 150 lectures and courses In Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Salvador, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Australia, Holland and Italy. Cr Vera has authored 40 papers in Mexican and international journals.
Dr Jerzy Zbożeń
Dr. Jerzy Zbożeń graduated from the Medical University of Silesia in 1980. Few years later he obtained a specialization in Oral Surgery. Interests: endodontics, microsurgery, implantology. Dr Zbozen runs his own multi-seat dental and surgical practice in Kielce. In 1993 he founded Profident (www.profident.pl), a company which specialises in implementing new technological solutions in the fields of endodontics, microsurgery and implantogy on the Polsih market. Dr Zbozen is the administrator and co-author of a specialised internet portal for Endodontists www.endodoncja.pl.
Lek. stom. Tomasz Jerzy Zbożeń
Lek. stom. Tomasz Zbożeń Has graduated from Medical University of Silesia in 2005 r. He Works alongside his father in a dental practice In Kielce. He runs workshops in Endodontics practical implementation of 3D Digital Implantology. Member of the Polish Endodontic Society, member of the American Endodontic Society (AAE). He undertook doctoral studies at the Faculty of Postgraduate Education at the Medical University of Lodz. He enrolled in the Endodontics Department of the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in Philadelphia.
