Prof. Imad About
Imad About Professor Imad About was born in Nablus, Palestine in 1962. He obtained a BSc in biology in 1984 from an-Najah National University, Nablus, Palestine; a Master’s Degree of Biochemistry in 1987 and a PhD of Biochemistry in 1992 from the University of AixMarseille III, Marseille, France. After a post doctorate in at the National Institute of Health and Medical Research, Marseille, France, Imad ABOUT joined the university “la Méditerranée” as assistant professor at the faculty of dentistry of Marseille in 1996, became associate professor in 2000 and was appointed as Professor of Oral Biology in 2002 at the same university. Imad About is currently a member of the “Institut des Sciences du Mouvement CNRS & Université d'Aix-Marseille” and Director of IMEB Research Laboratory (Interface Matrice Extracellulaire-Biomatériaux) at the faculty of dentistry, AixMarseille Université, Marseille, France. Imad About research group is involved in investigating the role of progenitor and nonprogenitor cells in dentin regeneration, the early steps of pulp healing and the effects of biomaterials on these events and he is involved in developing dental materials. He is one of the main academic members involved in Biodentine development which has been released in 2010. Imad About is responsible for a Master course in Biomaterials at the faculty of medicine at Aix-Marseille Université, Marseille, France and for teaching Immunology, Biochemistry stem cells and tissue regeneration courses at the faculty of dentistry at Aix-Marseille Université, Marseille, France. Imad About has published more than 100 peer reviewed papers, abstracts and book chapters. He is a member of the Editorial Board of leading reviews in the dental fields: Journal of dental Research, Journal of Endodontis, etc and a renowned and invited speaker in many specialized international meetings. He is frequently involved in reviewing research publications for 15 leading specialized reviews in the dental, scientific and medical fields. Member of the scientific committee of the faculty of dentistry and member of the Université de la Méditerranée Committee of technology transfer from the research laboratories to the industrial application and acts as a national and international expert in research project funding evaluation.
Dr Wojciech Bednarz
In 1986 he graduated from Medical Academy in Wroclaw. Later on he has received a PhD degree with his research on gum recession treatment
Prof. Gilberto Debelian
Dr. Debelian received his DMD degree from the University of Săo Paulo, Brazil, in 1987. He completed his specialisation in Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA, in 1991. He completed his PhD studies at the University of Oslo in 1997. He is an adjunct visiting professor in the postgraduate programmes in Endodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Debelian maintains a private specialist endodontics practice in Bekkestua, Norway.
Dr Guillaume Jouanny
Dr. Guillaume Jouanny received his DDS degree from the University of Paris Descartes in 2008. He practiced General Dentistry and Endodontics in Private practice from 2008 to 2012. He was clinical assistant from 2010-2012 in the same University in Restorative Dentistry and Endodontics. He moved to Philadelphia to specialize in Endodontics in 2012 at the University of Philadelphia where he graduated in 2015. Since 2015 he has been practicing Endodontics in Paris in private practice and teaching Endodontics at the University of Paris Descartes.
Prof. Bekir Karabucak
Prof. Bekir Karabucak graduated from the Istanbul Univeristy (Turkey) where he received his DDS degree. Then he continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania, where he gained DMD degree and MS in Oral Biology. Next he finished his postgraduate endodontics training at Penn University. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Endodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and fills the position of Interim Chair of Department of Endodontics at Penn University. He also is a Director of the Division of Advanced Dental Education School of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, Director of Postdoctoral Program at School of Dental Medicine and a practicing endodontist. At the same time Dr Karabucak is an attending physician at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. He also works as Endodontics Clinic Director at the School of Dental Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. He is a beneficiary of many proffessional awards, a member of scientific societies. Besides he is an author and reviewer of many publications and a lecturer often presenting at congresses.
Prof. Syngcuk Kim
He earned his dental degree and certificate in Endodontics from the School of Dental and Oral Surgery at Columbia University in New York. Dr. Kim also received his Ph.D. degree in circulatory physiology from the Department of Physiology at the Medical School, Columbia University. In 2002 he received an Honorary Medical Doctor degree from the University of Graz, Austria
Dr Sebastian Mazur
Specialist Conservative Dentist & Endodontist. He graduated Silesia Medical University in 1996. Until 2006 he was professionally connected with Chair and Department of Conservative Stomatology and with the Department of Periodontology on the Silesia Medical University. He is an author and co-author of several scientific papers. Since 2009 he has been a Secretary for the Polish Endodontic Association. He is a co-author of the Endodontic Curriculum training programme. His professional interests include microscopic endodontics, microsurgery and implantology.
Dr Aleksandra Palatyńska-Ulatowska
She has received a PhD degree form Medical University of Lodz. She specializes in conservative dentistry and endodontics. She is the head of the Endodontics Institute in the Univeristy of Lodz. She works as a lecturer and a coordinator for Dentistry Studies in English. She has authored many scientific publications and is and active member of European Society of Endodontology and Polish Endodontic Association as well as Polish Dental Association. At the same time she runs her private practice.
Dr Ruben Rosas
Dr Rubén Rosas received his DDS degree in 2001 from University Latin of México at Celaya. In 2005 he received a Certificate in Endodontics from Autonomous University of Querétaro. He is the chairman of the Guanajuato Association of Endodontists, Assistant Professor, Department of Endodontics in University of De LaSalle Bajío and member of the Reviewer Board for the International Endodontic Journal. Dr. Rosas has won the "National Endodontic Research award in 2013" He is user of Operative Microscope since 2006 and his practice is limited to Endodontics in Leon, Guanajuato, México.
Dr n. med. Jorge Vera
Dr. Jorge Vera received his DDS degree in 1989 from National Autonomous University of Mexico (Spanish: Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México). In 1993 he received a Certificate in Endodontics from TUFTS University. He is the chairman of the Mexican Association of Endodontists, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board Member for the Journal of Endodontics.He has delivered more than 150 lectures and courses In Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Salvador, Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Australia, Holland and Italy. Cr Vera has authored 40 papers in Mexican and international journals.
Lek. stom. Tomasz Jerzy Zbożeń
Lek. stom. Tomasz Zbożeń Has graduated from Medical University of Silesia in 2005 r. He Works alongside his father in a dental practice In Kielce. He runs workshops in Endodontics practical implementation of 3D Digital Implantology. Member of the Polish Endodontic Society, member of the American Endodontic Society (AAE). He undertook doctoral studies at the Faculty of Postgraduate Education at the Medical University of Lodz. He enrolled in the Endodontics Department of the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) in Philadelphia.
